Leading up to the February 28 release date for Destiny 2: Lightfall, developer Bungie has released the final cutscene for Destiny 2: The Witch Queen‘s story, which culminated with the last week of the current season: Season of the Seraph. Be warned, however, that the cutscene features a major spoiler leading into the story for Lightfall.

Spoiler warning

The cutscene shows a massive event in the story for Destiny 2, culminating in a plot thread that will take players to the Destiny 2: Lightfall setting of Neomuna. The cutscene shows the Warmind Rapsutin finally meeting its end in an effort to save the Traveller from being destroyed by the forces of House Salvation.

Leading up to the cutscene, in the game, players can still play through the entirety of the Season of the Seraph story, which culminates in players heading out into Seraph Station to try and fight back against the leader of House Salvation, Eramis.

Destiny 2: Lightfall is set to kick off the penultimate chapter of Destiny 2‘s over-arching storyline of the battle between the Light and Darkness, with a future expansion—Destiny 2: The Final Shape—hoping to wrap the story up.
