Though Bungie’s next DLC Forsaken is out on September 4th for Destiny 2, the game will still see significant updates in the meantime. For instance, July 17th sees update 1.2.3 releasing and it will bring both features from Destiny 1 and new content.
The biggest new addition is Solstice of Heroes, a seasonal event which will receive more information in the coming weeks. Quickplay will see the return of 6v6 modes and Rumble will be made a permanent playlist. Bounties, Year 1 Triumphs and sandbox changes to Exotic Armour pieces are also expected.
Furthermore, the long-awaited Prestige modes for Eaters of Worlds and Spire of Stars raid lairs will be coming soon. Along with adding some slightly new mechanics, they’ll give players some customization over the experience. PC players can also expect text chat for clans.
Destiny 2 will still have a presence at E3 2018, likely at Sony’s E3 presser, so more gameplay from Forsaken is expected. It wouldn’t be too strange to see the first gameplay from Solstice of Heroes as well.
