Bungie’s Destiny 2 will introduce a new activity type called Flashpoints. These will drive players to a specific planet each week for either fighting specific enemies or pursuing treasure maps.

As per director Luke Smith on Kotaku’s podcast, this will allow players to discover others. They can be completed solo if you wish and the rewards have been described as high-level and equivalent to the Nightfall rewards in Destiny. Smith didn’t talk about what players had to do exactly but there will be something twists on typical planets to handle.

Furthermore, Smith talked about certain activities which are similar to enemy factions moving against each other. More information on that is still pending as well.

Destiny 2 will release on September 6th for Xbox One and PS4. It will also release on October 24th for PC. What are your thoughts on the game right now? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information.
