Destiny 2 Xur

The ever-reliable Agent of the Nine, Xur, has returned to Bungie’s Destiny 2. He can be found in the Tower Hanger, where he will remain until the weekly reset tomorrow. This week’s Exotics include the heavy sniper rifle D.A.R.C.I which costs 29 Legendary Shards.

Its main claim to fame is Personal Assistant, which showcases an enemy’s health when aiming, and Target Acquired, which grants more precision damage when the former is active. Coupled with its strong magazine size and D.A.R.C.I. makes a decent Whisper of the Worm substitute. This isn’t to say it’s the best heavy weapon for every situation but it’s decent enough.

Exotic armor this week includes St0mp-EE5 (Hunter boots with an obscene 24 Resilience), Synthoceps (Titan gauntlets) and Transversive Steps (Warlock boots), each for 23 Legendary Shards. Of course, Xur also sells Legendary weapons and armor, each for 50 Legendary Shards and 1000 Glimmer. Here are the available Legendary weapons:

  • Dire Promise (Primary hand cannon)
  • Seventh Seraph VY-7 (Energy SMG)
  • Arsenic Bite-4b (Energy combat bow)
  • Long Shadow (Primary sniper rifle)
  • Hollow Words (Energy fusion rifle)
  • Outrageous Fortune (Heavy grenade launcher)
  • Royal Entry (Heavy rocket launcher)

The Legendary armor set this week is the Woven Firesmith for Hunters from the Black Armory season. Looks-wise, it’s quite fetching and may be worth picking up for Armor Synthesis.
