It’s almost the end of the year and Xur is once again back in the European Dead Zone in Destiny 2. You can find ol’ tentacle face in the Winding Cove, where he’ll remain until today’s weekly reset. He doesn’t have any “new” Exotics but new players might find some things to like.
For Exotic armor pieces, there’s The Stag (Warlock helm), Mk. 44 Stand Asides (Titan boots) and Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves (Hunter gloves) which are for 23 Legendary Shards each. The Stag is fairly situational with its “grants Rift energy while critically wounded” perk. However, you might like the sidearm ready and reload speed that the Tricksleeves provide or the overshield granted by Mk. 44 Stand Asides.
The Exotic weapon this week is Fighting Lion, a grenade launcher whose shots bounce off of surfaces. Along with dealing more damage to enemy shields, you can also reload the magazine by killing enemies damaged by grenades. You’ll also receive Primary ammo on kills which the Fighting Lion uses. If that sounds up your alley, then the weapon can be yours for 29 Legendary Shards.
