Destiny 2 Xur

Xur has returned in Bungie’s Destiny 2, carrying some very familiar Exotics and returning Legendary weapons and armor. He can be found at Watcher’s Grave on Nessus, where he will remain until the weekly reset. The Exotic weapon of choice this week is Merciless, an Energy fusion rifle.

Costing 29 Legendary Shards, its main perk is “Conserve Momentum” where non-lethal shots from the weapon make it charge faster until securing a kill. “Impetus” grants increasing damage for a brief time after reloading. Though not the best Special ammo weapon by a long shot, it’s still good in certain cases like when damaging Riven in The Last Wish raid.

The Exotic gear this week includes Sealed Ahamkara Grasps (Hunter gloves), Stronghold (Titan gloves) and Lunafaction Boots (Warlock boots), each for 23 Legendary Shards. Stronghold is perhaps the least common Exotic that Xur has sold. It maximizes Guard stats on swords and any shots blocked after after guarding will heal the wielder. Very niche but certainly not the worst option for those who like swords.

This week’s Legendary armor set is the Opulent Stalker set from Season of Opulence with each piece costing 50 Legendary Shards and 1000 Glimmer. Here are all of the Legendary weapons currently available (also for 50 Shards and 1000 Glimmer each):

  • True Prophecy – Primary Hand Cannon
  • Last Perdition – Energy Pulse Rifle
  • Arsenic Bite-4b – Energy Combat Bow
  • First In, Last Out – Energy Shotgun
  • Hollow Words – Energy Fusion Rifle
  • Steel Sybil Z-14 – Heavy Sword
  • The Third Axiom – Energy Pulse Rifle
