Xur has returned to the Tower in Bungie’s Destiny 2 and is currently in the Hangar with a new swathe of Exotics. There aren’t too many repeats from previous weeks here, which is nice (though there’s nothing brand-new per say). Head over to the Tower and catch him before the weekly reset.
This week’s Exotic gear includes Aeon Swift (Hunter gloves), Dunemarchers (Titan boots) and Eye of Another World (Warlock helm), each for 23 Legendary Shards. Aeon Swift continues to be a pretty mediocre Exotic so you can safely ignore it. Dunemarchers allows for building up static charge on sprinting and dishing it out to surrounding enemies when attacking one foe. Eye of Another World offers better ability generation overall.
However, the star is definitely Sunshot, an Exotic handcannon which costs 29 Legendary Shards. It causes enemies to explode on death and doesn’t even require precision kills to proc. Even better, enemies that are killed by these explosions will themselves explode, continuously chaining this damage. Pick it up if you haven’t already.
