Xur is back in Destiny 2, once again, and has some interesting Exotics for the week. You can find him in the Winding Cove in the EDZ, where he’ll remain until the weekly reset tomorrow. This week’s Exotic weapon is The Prospector, a Power grenade launcher that can be fired full auto.
It fires sticky grenades that can stick to surfaces and also light targets on fire. Releasing the trigger will detonate all of the grenades at once, providing some fairly good damage in PvE. The Prospector can be yours for just 29 Legendary Shards. Exotic gear on sale includes Wormhusk Crown (Hunter helm), Mk. 44 Stand Asides (Titan boots) and Felwinter’s Helm (Warlock helm), each for 23 Legendary Shards.
Wormhusk Crown provides a small amount of health and shields on dodging, which is useful for Hunters in the Crucible (though nowhere near as strong as before). Mk. 44 Stand Asides provide an overshield if you’re at full health and sprinting with any of the charge abilities. Hits with these will restore some melee energy. As for Felwinter’s Helm, it causes an energy burst that weakens nearby foes on all elemental melee kills (except Stasis). Using finishers or downing tougher foes increases the burst’s range and the weaken effect’s duration.
