Destiny 2 Leviathan

Bungie’s first raid for Destiny 2 went live yesterday at 10 AM PST. Dubbed Leviathan, the raid required 270 Power to properly complete and several teams grinded for hours to attempt the coveted world first clear.

However, The Legend Himself clan, known for the crazy antics of its players like Slayerage, managed the first world clear. The feat was acknowledged by Bungie on Twitter and you can see the clan defeating the final boss on The Legend Himself’s YouTube channel (if you don’t mind spoilers that is).

For some backstory: The Leviathan is the name of Emperor Calus’ ship. He’s the exiled Cabal Emperor whom Dominus Ghaul, the antagonist of Destiny 2’s story, defeated in order to control the entire empire. Why he’s appeared over Nessus and attempting to test Guardians isn’t confirmed at this point. What is confirmed is that the raid requires some pretty strong coordination and understanding of each encounter to properly clear.

What are your thoughts on Destiny 2’s first raid, whether you’ve watched or played it? Let us know in the comments.
