Destiny 2’s New Social Space Features Football, Accommodates 26 Players

Chickens, vendors and an evolving social space await.

As part of a series of videos with IGN First, Bungie sat down to unveil the new social space in Destiny 2. It’s called the Farm and will be the place the Guardians go after the Cabal destroy the Tower.

Accommodating up to 26 players at once, the Farm will have its own vendors, social options and even some football to play. Unlike the Tower, players will actually have nets, a field and goals to score while playing Football.

Interestingly enough, it seems that the Farm will evolve throughout Destiny 2. This will probably be the same as Destiny where new characters arrive and others leave with the overall size of the space increasing. It also seems that Tyra Karn will be the new Cryptarch this time around.

Destiny 2 is out on September 6th for Xbox One and PS4. The PC release is on October 24th. Open betas for the PS4 and Xbox One actually take place later this month starting on July 21st but it’s possible to start earlier if you pre-order.
