Destiny 2’s The Dawning Event Ends Today

Pick up your Bright Engrams and Eververse-exclusive loot today (or better yet, don't).

Destiny 2 The Dawning 2017

As the weekly reset nears closer for Bungie’s Destiny 2, The Dawning event will also be ending. That means no more snow in the Tower, no more snowball fights (or pelting enemies in Strikes with them) and no more Mayhem Crucible.

This is also the last opportunity for players to earn any Dawning-exclusive loot from Eververse including the snazzy looking armour. Depending on what Tess is selling, these can be purchased with Bright Dust from dismantling Eververse items or through purchasing Bright Engrams with real world money. Keep in mind that filling your XP bar will not grant you a Dawning Bright Engram and dismantling the Daily Gifts earned from NPCs will not provide Bright Dust.

Bungie has received a fair amount of flak for this event especially when it comes to locking so much cosmetic loot that was available in various activities for Destiny 1 behind Eververse. The developer isn’t ignoring feedback though and will offer more information about the future of the game on January 11th.
