Destiny 2 Curse of Osiris_05

Amid issues with Destiny 2 and the numerous steps back it took, Bungie released a significant blog update that outlined the upcoming rework to mods, return of modes like 6v6 and Rumble in PvP, changes to Eververse and much more. However, it’s yet another case of Bungie making several mistakes with its initial release and taking several months to fix things.

It also doesn’t help that it could potentially happen a third time. Kotaku’s Kirk Hamilton, who talked about the endless cycle of disappointment that Destiny creates, said he heard from news editor Jason Schreier that Destiny 3 is already in development. This isn’t exactly surprising – Bungie’s deal with Activision dictates a major sequel every two to three years.

While we would usually take this report with a grain of salt, Schreier has been the money with all things Destiny related since the first game launched. With so much work to be done on Destiny 2, including Seasons and paid DLC, is Bungie spreading itself too thin again? Will Destiny 3 suffer a reboot as well? Time will tell so stay tuned for more updates.
