Bungie’s recent Destiny beta garnered more than 4.6 million users in its brief time, making it a huge success. Bungie released several more figures for the beta and they really paint a larger picture of the scale of activities that happened.

According to Bungie, 6.5 million Guardians were created, with 164 million of them dying and 3.7 billion kills. About 851,264 Guardians went to the moon while 62 million Guardians were revived in the midst of combat. That’s not all – lest you thought the Destiny companion app wasn’t worth anything, Bungie reported that 777,000 players made use of it.

Community manager David Dague stated that, “We’re running out of ways to thank you for what the Beta has meant to us. We hope you had fun. Destiny will be a better game because you played it. Perhaps that’s the best gesture we can manage – to deliver a game that’s better than it was before your contribution. Today is the first day of August. Start the countdown on your last month of waiting. Next month, we’ll all start playing Destiny for real.”

Destiny will be out next month on September 9th for PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PS3.
