Bungie’s Destiny will be entering into the beta testing stage very soon, with PS3 and PS4 users receiving access early on July 17th. Xbox One and Xbox 360 users will be receiving access on July 23rd but in both cases, players will need access to either PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold for playing the beta.

This was confirmed by Bungie on Twitter. “Xbox Live Gold is required for the Destiny Beta. PS Plus for some activities. Trial accounts will work in both cases.”

The “activities” part for PS Plus wasn’t clarified but it seems to imply that some mode types will be accessible by non-PS Plus subscribers.

Destiny will be out on September 9th for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4. It will kick-start the biggest season of the year with tons of AAA titles to release in October. Will you be picking up Destiny? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
