Destiny Gameplay Trailer Reveals Devil’s Lair, Guardian Abilities

The Guardians of Destiny have their work cut out for them in facing the Fallen.

Bungie has released a brand new gameplay trailer for Destiny, its persistent online shooter, which sees three Guardians infiltrating a nest teeming with Hive soldiers and Fallen. Check it out above.

The gameplay showcases the abilities of the Guardians along with Chain Reactions, multipliers which stack as you kill more enemies in succession. There are Orbs of Light alluded to along with a Horde-mode style segment in which you must fight off multiple foes while your “ghost” hacks through barriers. The most intriguing aspect of the trailer is that all of this happens before you even reach Devil’s Lair and Bungie hints that the main boss, Sepiks Prime, will be showcased in another trailer for E3 2014.

Screenshots have also been revealed for the game, which you can check out below. Destiny will be releasing on September 9th for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. What did you think of the above gameplay? Let us know below.
