Though we’d like to make a reference to the tune of Bungie “getting the band back together” for their upcoming online FPS Destiny, we’ll refrain. After all, composers Martin O’Donnell and Michael Salvatori composed the soundtracks for several Bungie franchises like Myth and Oni before moving on to the Halo titles when Microsoft bought Bungie.

It’s now been revealed that both men will be composing the soundtrack for Destiny, coming soon for Xbox 360 and PS3. Before today’s big reveal, along with a few concept art images, a single track from the game was revealed. Titled “Eighth”, the short sample runs for about a minute and a half. Check it out below.

Destiny has been the subject of much media attention today after its first full-blown reveal. You can check out our massive information blowout here for video, concept art and a whole lot of details.

A release date is still to be announced.
