Destiny Hotfix Changes Special Ammo in PvP, Bladedancers, Juggernaut Titans

Stormcaller melee also nerfed.

After covering some of the more positive changes with Bungie’s upcoming hotfix for Destiny, it’s time to look at others that have riled fans up.

Perhaps the craziest change for PvP comes with the new Special Ammo changes. Players now spawn with Special Ammo but if they die, they lose all of it upon death. To counter this, Special Ammo crates will spawn every 60 seconds though the radius by which allied players can collect Special Ammo if a teammate pulls it has been reduced from 100 meters to 75 meters.

And though Juggernaut has been changed on Striker Titans, disabling quicker in mid-air and not activating at all if you’re not on the ground, Bladedancer’s Hungering Blade perk as seen a nerf. The perk essentially regenerates your health and shield with every kill but the upcoming change will only regenerate your health. The regeneration is instantaneous but Bladedancers will now become easier to finish off when weak.

Stormcallers have seen their melee range reduced as many fans demanded but the perk Landfall has also been changed. Using it now drains your Super faster, which was stated as a means to offer more choices to players. How this affects those who run Impossible Machines (which unlock Landfall for free) remains to be seen.
