Destiny Maintenance Scheduled for Today to Address Issues

Connection problems continue to plague Bungie's shooter.

Destiny The Taken King_Crucible 02

Destiny seems to be having its fair share of connection issues. Bungie’s shared world shooter is going down for maintenance for the second time this week.

Bungie Help noted on Twitter that, “Destiny is undergoing unscheduled maintenance tomorrow from 6AM – 9AM Pacific to address reports of players ‘Contacting Destiny Servers.'”

That comes to roughly three hours of maintenance. The notification “Contacting Destiny Servers” usually pops up when players are facing connection errors. It’s usually a sign of great lag and often serves as a prelude to one being disconnected from their current game.

As you’d imagine, it’s pretty annoying. Maintenance today should help fix that but given the long maintenance period on Tuesday which preceded Iron Banner and it originally being delayed due to connection problems from the past few weeks, we wouldn’t hold our breath for an instant fix anytime soon.

What are your thoughts on the connection problems facing Destiny? Let us know in the comments.
