Bungie hasn’t exactly been clamping down on leaks relating to Rise of Iron, the next major expansion for Destiny. After a leak several weeks back showcased the concept art – featuring Lord Saladin with a flaming axe and surrounded by wolves – a recent trademark filing pretty much confirmed that Rise of Iron is a thing.

Now it seems that the developer’s main site has been leaking information as well. Per Gothalion on Twitter, a listing for Rise of Iron showed up on Google search results. Why is this significant, besides the fact that it showed up on the main Destiny site? Well, aside from confirming a new story, raid, gear and weapons, the expansion will allow us to “discover the fate of the Iron Lords”. That’s the group that Saladin represents and which runs the Iron Banner PvP event.

Again, this doesn’t outright confirm that the expansion will focus on the Iron Lords’ fate. But at this point, it seems a given that Rise of Iron is real and Saladin plays a huge part in it. At least we get another raid this year, right? One per year isn’t too bad at this point. Stay tuned to Bungie’s official reveal on June 9th for more information.
