Considering that Destiny: The Taken King just hit the “most downloaded game ever” mark, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that there are already a number of teams that were racing each other in order to be the first to take down the titular villain. While it may not come as a surprise that people were working hard to get this done quickly, it still might come as a bit of a surprise just how quickly they were able to do the deed.
A Destiny team has finished the run in seven hours. While that might seem like a large investment in time for some people, keep in mind most of us hadn’t yet completed a work day when this team started and ended their quest to be the first to take down the Fallen’s king. It should also be pointed out that this was clearly no easy task. While the team racked up more than 4,000 kills, one player died 125 times. Clearly the Taken King isn’t a round that even the best amongst us are having a real easy time with.
Of course, it’s also possible there was an awful lot of blitzing going on in order to take down the big boss as quickly as possible. It also appears that this particular storyline is a bit more difficult that Destiny’s previous outings considering that the Dark Below’s entire raid was finished in six hours. Either way, it appears that Bungie’s approach of revamping Destiny has been a smashing success.
Cheers to the whole team. https://t.co/98o17J8JT1
