Destiny The Taken King

Bungie released an official ViDoc for Destiny’s upcoming expansion The Taken King. As has already been announced, the expansion will include new sub-classes, locations and a brand new story featuring Crota’s father Oryx as the big bad.

The ViDoc gives us a look at some of the new places we’ll explore like Phobos and the massive Dreadnought of Oryx. The Taken are also explored in detail and Bungie also promises new missions, new Patrols, new Strikes, new Public Events and much more. It also seems that the new sub-classes will have to be attained by completing different side-quests for each class rather than being available from the outset.

If you pay close attention, you may also notice the return of the XP bar at the bottom and light levels for weapons.

Destiny’s The Taken King is out on September 15th for Xbox One, PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360. Stay tuned for more details on the expansion as E3 rolls on.
