Destiny

After a boring couple of weeks, Destiny’s Exotic vendor Xur has finally brought some worthwhile gear to the Tower. You can find him near the Speaker where he’ll remain till October 9th, 2 AM PST.

This week, Xur has Thagomizers (Titan gloves), Shinobu’s Vow (Hunter gloves) and Light Beyond Nemesis (Warlock helm), each for 13 Strange Coins. Thagomizers are useful despite their horrid appearance for granting Amplify for free to Strikers and adding a second melee charge. Shinobu’s Vow bestows a second Skip Grenade and also improves tracking on the grenade. Considering how good tracking is already, these gloves can feel outright dirty for Bladedancers.

The Exotic weapon this week is the heavy machine gun Thunderlord. At 23 Strange Coins, Thunderlord offers a healthy magazine, better accuracy and faster fire rate the longer the trigger is held and some chain lightning properties. It’s definitely worth picking up if you’re lacking a reliable heavy weapon.

Meanwhile, the Legacy Engram this week is for a Year One Primary weapon. It costs 31 Strange Coins so invest only if you really want to complete that Year One collection.
