Destiny House of Wolves

During its live-stream reveal on Twitch for House of Wolves’ Trials of Osiris mode, Bungie also revealed a ton of new information regarding the Crucible for Destiny.

First off, House of Wolves will be bringing three new PvP maps with Black Shield, set on Phobos; Thieves’ Den which takes place in the tunnels under Venus; and Widow’s Court, a battle in the European Dead Zone. PS3 and PS4 owners will receive an exclusive map with Timekeeper taking place inside of a Vex device on Mars.

With the announcement of Trials of Osiris and the need for Etheric Light to ascend one’s gear, Bungie has also confirmed a daily featured Crucible game which has a chance to net you Etheric Light. This mode also promises guaranteed rewards while Crucible as a whole has been made more rewarding. If you complete the daily objectives offered, you also stand to gain Passage Coins for Trials of Osiris, glimmer, Motes of Light and much more.

Not only will marks and reputation be doubled for matches but you’ll also receive double the engrams. Better players will also net higher rewards or at least better chances at rewards. Ten new legendary items have also been confirmed for Crucible for when House of Wolves drops.

Elimination as a whole is a new game type for Crucible so even if you haven’t taken part in Trials of Osiris, you can still fight through the new game type. Speaking of Trials of Osiris, it turns out that each Passage – which is necessary for taking part and acts as your score card for wins and losses – will cost 100 Glimmer each.

It also seems that somewhere down the line, The Dark Below DLC’s maps will be made free to all Crucible players. Apparently, Bungie would do this with its Halo map packs as well – each time a new map pack was released, the previous one would be made free and a requirement for playing in order to spice up the variety. As such, The Dark Below content like Raids, missions and Strikes won’t be free.

Destiny’s House of Wolves will be out on May 19th for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4.
