Destiny Iron Banner

Bungie has finally dated the return of Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris PvP events in Destiny and also discussed several new changes that will debut.

Iron Banner will be back on October 12th and while Iron Medallions and alternate character buffs are unchanged, the Tempered buff is now automatically applied to your characters. You also stand a better chance of getting drops from playing matches though Lord Saladin will still sell gear (although for Legendary Marks instead of Glimmer this time). It should also be noted that nine new bounties with three dailies and three weeklies are also being added. Only level 40 Guardians can lead Fireteams though the required Light level is 230.

Trials of Osiris returns on October 16th and gear is now dispensed from winning matches with better rewards as you rack up more victories. Flawless passages still gain access to the Lighthouse and Brother Vance will now have bounties which net you rewards as well. Bungie will also make an effort to match teams with similar win records together rather than throwing a team with one victory against one with nine wins. That being said, it will work to provide low latency matches whenever possible.

You can read up on all the changes over at the Bungie Weekly Update. Thoughts on the return of both events? Let us know below.
