Destiny’s Skolas Receiving Nerfs: Burns Removed, Boss Health Reduced

The final encounter of Prison of Elders level 35 will be made slightly easier.

Destiny House of Wolves

Bungie’s Destiny is rife with challenges, the hardest one being House of Wolves’ Prison of Elders on level 35 which sees you fighting Skolas on the final round. Unfortunately, the fight itself is rife with problems.

Not only are all enemies one level higher than the max Light level cap but the addition of burns for Solar and Arc can unreasonably skew damage in the favour of enemies (especially with the sheer number of mobs).

Thankfully, Bungie has recognized feedback for the same and announced during its Weekly Update that the Skolas encounter would be receiving nerfs. Not only have the burns been removed and the boss’s health reduced to compensate for no burn but there will also be minor adjustments made to enemy waves.

It also seems that minions will spawn at “predictable health intervals”, meaning that you’ll be able to anticipate when they spawn depending on Skolas’s health.
