Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata announced during the Nintendo Direct held earlier today that the upcoming Super Smash Bros. title for the Wii U and the 3DS will be receiving new info and screenshots during this year’s E3.

Iwata assured fans that the development for both the versions of the game is on track, despite being such a massive undertaking under Sakurai’s supervision and with the help of Namco Bandai, but that information cannot be released right now. Iwata asked fans to “wait just a little bit longer” after he promised that screenshots for the game will be released at E3 2013.

Super Smash Bros 4, as it is being tentatively called by people right now, is one of the most anticipated Wii U titles, so we’re expecting Nintendo to have big things in store for us.

What do you guys want to see at E3 this year? Do you want more than just screens? Maybe some footage of the game itself?
