Quantic Dream’s Detroit: Become Human finally has a release date. The futuristic, cinematic adventure game will be releasing on May 25th for PlayStation. The news was confirmed by director David Cage on the PlayStation Blog.

First revealed in 2015 (though evidence of the game goes back way further with tech demos), Detroit: Become Human takes place in the titular city. Androids are fairly common but subject to different rights than humans. So what happens when androids like Kara gain sentience? Players will explore the story from her perspective along with other androids like Connor and Markus, the latter being a revolutionary of sorts for android rights.

Detroit: Become Human will follow the Quantic Dream formula of decisions having a significant impact on the story. The developer has already stated that there will be a wider range of choice and consequence than ever before – even if certain characters die, the story will still continue without them.

What are your thoughts on the release date though? Let us know in the comments below.
