Deus Ex: Human Revolution currently has no plans to produce mod tools

This update won’t make many PC gamers happy. The PC version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution won’t have support for mod tools according to Eidos Montreal art director Jonathan Jacques-Belletete.

Considering that almost all modern PC games have support for modding, it’s exclusion from one of the most anticipated games of the year is a surprise.

Jacques-Belletete said:

“At this point though there are no plans. We are not working on PC mod tools – now this being said, it doesn’t
mean that it’s something we’re just ticking off… we could work on something in the future or out-source it or whatever.”

“I’m not saying that’s what’s going to happen, I’m just saying it’s not something we had time to do, but it’s something we’re conscious about and you never know what we could do in the future.”

So probably there might be mod support for the game in the future, but for now PC gamers would have to do without it.

What do you guys think? Specially the PC gamers. Would they be happy about it? Let us know in the comments below.
