In what seems like an auspicious time to bring a Devil May Cry game back into the spotlight to coincide with the Netflix show’s second season, Capcom has announced that Devil May Cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition is coming to the Switch 2 on June 23 for its digital version, with a physical version coming on August 28. There’s a discount on the digital version if you pick up a copy before July 7, 2026, too.
This edition consolidates all of the game’s DLC, which means that you’re going to get to play as Nero, Dante, and V in the base game while also getting to be the storm that is approaching as Vergil, who makes incredible (and stylish) use of the Yamato and Force Edge. There are additional outfits and battle tracks to use as you tear through enemies, too, and this one’s definitely going to be a hoot to play as it brings a smooth 60 FPS to both its handheld and TV modes.
We loved this one back in the day, and a lot of you feel the same way, as it enjoyed some impressive sales numbers. There’s a trailer accompanying the announcement, and all we can say about this one is “Jackpot”.
