Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition

Vergil will finally have his time to shine in Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition. The enhanced version of 2019’s Devil May Cry 5 will include him as a playable character along with other features like Turbo Mode and Legendary Dark Knight difficulty. It’s coming to Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PS5 when the consoles launch in November for $39.99.

Vergil’s mechanics should be familiar to players of Devil May Cry 4 with the Concentration Gauge returning. Turbo Mode essentially sees the game speed cranked up to 1.2 times the norm while Legendary Dark Knight will add tons of new enemies to the mix. Vergil will be available as paid DLC for current-gen owners but at a later date.

Visually, fans can expect truly dynamic reflections, more realistic lighting and shadows and ray-tracing support. Several graphics modes will be available like 4K/30 FPS with ray-tracing, 1080p/60 FPS and even a High Framerate mode for playing at 120 FPS. 3D audio on the PS5 is confirmed along with support for the DualSense’s haptic feedback.

Stay tuned for more details on Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition in the coming months. Check the video below for a quick overview on how ray-tracing will work.
