This year's presentation is a celebrity countdown to...something with Grasshopper Manufacture's Goichi Suda apparently serving as host.

Devolver Digital

It wouldn’t be a Summer of gaming without Devolver Digital and its insane Devolver Directs. The publisher has confirmed a show for June 9th at 3 PM PST, several hours after the Summer Game Fest showcase. A new teaser is available, which is…strange, to say the least (and full of expletives so be warned).

It features numerous executives coming up with ideas for the presentation before settling on a celebrity countdown. The celebrity? None other than Grasshopper Manufacture’s Goichi Suda (Suda51) of No More Heroes fame. In a mech. But not physically, just via a monitor that happens to be inside the mech.

As bizarre as it all sounds, the presentation should provide some new game announcements and updates. Perhaps we’ll get a release date for Wizard with a Gun, which will be releasing some time this year for PC and Nintendo Switch. Return to Monkey Island could also get a release date and new trailer. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
