Analysts recently predicted that Diablo 3 will sell approx. 3 – 4 million units by the end of this year. Well, it looks like that figure would be easily attainable as Amazon has mentioned to Joystiq that Diablo 3 is their most pre-ordered game.
“Today, it became the most pre-ordered PC game of all-time on Amazon.com – even exceeding pre-orders for Blizzard’s own StarCraft II and World of Warcraft: Cataclysm,” said the Amazon representative.
This is definitely interesting as it suggests that there is a lot of anticipation for the game. The Diablo 3 beta was also received positively by people.
The game comes out on May 15th for the PC, and Blizzard has also warned that there could be severe log-in issues on launch day. Considering these incredible pre-orders it looks more likely that there will be a lot of issues. However, Blizzard should be up to the task as well.
