Diablo 4 - Season of the Malignant

Diablo 4’s first season, Season of the Malignant, starts on July 20th at 10 AM PDT. A new trailer is available and introduces Cormond, a former Cathedral of Light member who needs your help to battle Malignant Monsters.

The new questline is available immediately for seasonal characters and involves defeating Partly Corrupted enemies in the world and then using the Cage of Binding to capture their Malignant Heart. The enemy turns Fully Corrupted in the process, and once defeated, you can place the Malignant Heart into Infested Sockets in your Amulets and Rings.

There are 32 Malignant Hearts with differing effects, and tougher Malignant Creatures offer stronger versions. You can venture into the “highly replayable” Malignant Tunnels dungeon to find them and battle a new boss, Varshan the Consumed.

Stay tuned for more details on Season of the Malignant in the coming weeks. Diablo 4 is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. Check out our review here.
