Where To Find Runes

Vessel of Hatred Campaign

Every boss defeated over the course of the campaign can potentially drop a Rune.

Elite Mobs

Any activity with a high proportion of Elite enemies is guaranteed to drop Runes. In Vessel of Hatred, Kurast Undercity is the ideal location for this, though Nightmare Dungeons and The Pit may also yield Runes.

Whisper Caches

Whisper Caches may potentially serve as a source of Runes.

World Bosses

The regularly scheduled World Boss events will reward players with Runes if they are successful in taking them down.

Initial Clearing of a Stronghold

A Rune of Magic rarity is a guaranteed drop as a reward for clearing any given Stronghold for the first time.

Crafted at the Jeweler

The Jeweler will craft a Rune of Legendary rarity in exchange for three Runes of the same name, and a sum of gold.

That is everything about Runewords, Runes, and where to find them in Diablo IV Vessel of Hatred.
