DICE LA Studio Focused on Battlefield 4, Formerly Danger Close

The Medal of Honor developer has found a new calling.

Battlefield 4 (2)
We speculated some time ago about publisher Electronic Arts closing down Danger Close, developer of the Medal of Honor series, following the disappointing Medal of Honor Warfighter. Far from it: It seems the studio’s recently opened DICE LA is actually Danger Close.

EA has also indicated that DICE LA is “an extension of DICE Sweden” and is “100 percent focused on Battlefield 4″. It has also indicated that both studios will be working together on games, so when the Star Wars games go on the floor at some point – as part of EA’s new partnership with Disney who owns the IP – they’ll also be partnering up for the same.

So while the Medal of Honor franchise has been put on hold at EA, the Danger Close stalwarts are far from unemployed (except for those who left, of course).

Battlefield 4 is currently slated for the Fall season on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
