One of the first games we got to hear about coming to next generation consoles was DiRT 5. It’ll be full cross generational title, meaning it’ll be an early peek into what the systems are capable of versus the current hardware. We know the game will have an option for 120 FPS on next gen consoles, for instance, and I imagine it’ll have the potential to look much better. And today we get a nice look at the game with a time trial first look.

As the game’s name implies, a lot of DiRT 5 is about driving in the muddy and rough off road. The gameplay first look below shows us just that with the mud-infused Stampede track to show off a time trial. We get to see a preview of both third and first person camera angles as the car races to the finish. You can check it out below.

DiRT 5 will release October 9th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions will come later, and you will be eligible for a free upgrade within your respective ecosystem. You can also read all about the game’s extensive campaign mode through here.
