Dota 2 Dueling Fates

Valve’s popular free to play MOBA Dota 2 will be receiving two new heroes for its roster in the future. They’re part of the Dueling Fates update which was confirmed at The International 2017. Check out the CG cinematic trailer below.

The characters include a fencing cat with major Puss in Boots similarities and a fairy that houses a smaller, electricity-based fairy in a case. No other information was provided aside from the former likely being a melee hero and the latter being ranged. We don’t know when the update will go live either but it’s expected that other changes, like balance changes to existing heroes, will also be included.

The International 2017 is currently on-going with the grand final, a best of five game, set to air this weekend (currently, Newbee are confirmed for the same with its opponent to be decided). The total prize pool is at $24,503,037 which is a new record for the competition. To watch all the matches, head on over to Twitch. For previous results, head here.
