Double Fine’s Hack & Slash Trailer Released: A Worthy 80’s Throwback Commercial

Game hacking is the game in Double Fine's upcoming overhead action adventure.

There are video game trailers and then there’s the trailer for Double Fine Productions’ Hack & Slash, an isometric action adventure title in the vein of the classic Zelda titles. The trailer itself brings to mind the old NES commercials in terms of outright cheesiness and 80’s lingo. Check it out above.

Hack & Slash itself appears to be a game where you can “hack” your way through the world and save the “Princess” in the process. According to the developer on the game’s website, “You’ll mess with the game’s actual variables and dismantle the game’s actual code. We can’t wait to put it in your hands and see where you take it.”

Hack & Slash will be available soon on Steam Early Access so stay tuned for more details. Honestly, this looks even more compelling than Broken Age: Act 2 at this point. What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
