Dragon Age: Inquisition

Bioware’s Dragon Age: Inquisition is only a few months away and will be showing up at next month’s E3. In the follow-up to the same, the developer has revealed how you’ll go about controlling territories as the High Inquisitor, namely by capturing forts.

Essentially, each country in the world will be composed of several regions, each region having important locations like forts. Capturing these forts allows you to control the area around it, and will add to your overall army. From there, you can decide how to use your resources on the region. You can place soldiers to defend the fort, influence the economy by opening up trade routes, and much more.

The obvious idea is to make the player feel more invested with the world while also encouraging exploration. Check out the screenshots below to see what one of the forts, called Adamant Fortress, will look like.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is out on October 7th for PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Stay tuned for more details in the coming month.
