As part of a tradition, Bioware is working to get a playable “holiday build” of Dragon Age: Inquisition ready before the team departs for the Christmas holidays.

On the developer’s blog, franchise executive producer stated that this version will look to be as complete of an experience as possible in order for team-members to experience it and provide feedback during the holidays. It will have “the main storyline completely playable from beginning to end” in order to work out pacing and see “all of the gameplay systems working together”.

Other work that’s begun includes voice overs, music, class balance, locking down tech, etc. The developer has also release various assets of the game, from character faces and environments to WIP screenshots. “As you can see, an initial screenshot is critiqued and altered to show the goal for the area. This gives the level artist the specific direction needed to take the area to the next level (so to speak).”

Dragon Age: Inquisition will release in Fall 2014 for PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PS4.
