A new Japanese trailer for Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z has been released by Namco Bandai and it showcases a hell of a lotta fighting. Both main and side characters get a chance to shine with the trailer showing off the new Synchro system that will be present in the game.

Battle of Z will feature a four player mode and encourages group-based fighting, with an eight player “Battle Royale” mode available for the same. You’ll be able to Synchro with other fighters and simultaneously attack an opponent. Otherwise, there’s the usual combo tactics wherein you can knock an enemy into the awaiting arms of your partners and juggle them across the battlefield.

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z is currently set to release on January 23rd 2014 in Japan. A European and North American release date is still to be announced. Stay tuned for more details as they arrive.
