Despite the fact that we’ve played through the original Dragon Ball Z saga in video games in some form or another about 9,000 times, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot still managed to tickle that nostalgia bone. The title is looking to be very successful thus far, with post-launch support coming in the near future. And it’s also been pretty well received too, based on a trailer highlighting the game’s accolades.

You can see the trailer below. It shows highlights of the many iconic battles through Dragon Ball Z with sprinkles of praise from various outlets. The trailer also gives us a bit of a tease of the upcoming DLC, A New Power Awakens, at the end. It will cover the Battle of the Gods film that served to revive the anime recently (and was also the basis for the first arc of Dragon Ball Super).

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. A New Power Awakens – Part 1 will come to all platforms in Spring of this year.
