A major action RPG based on Dragon Ball was always guaranteed to do well, and Bandi Namco and CyberConnect2’s Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, which came out in January, hasn’t disappointed in terms of sales. Just within a week of its release, the game had already sold over 1.5 million units worldwide. Now, new data reported by SuperData gives a fair idea of how the game’s performing on the digital front as well.

According to the report, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot sold over 1.6 million units digitally across all platforms worldwide within January alone. It was the fifth highest selling digital game on PC for the month, and No. 3 for consoles (behind FIFA 20 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare respectively). According to SuperData, this is also the biggest digital launch month for any Dragon Ball game, with Kakarot’s January digital sales being more than twice as high as the launch digital sales of any previous Dragon Ball title.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is out now for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. You can read our review of the game through here.
