After its sudden delisting from the Nintendo eShop, Dragon Quest 11 S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition has returned. Square Enix also confirmed a permanent price drop to $39.99/£34.99/€39.99, which means it’s easier than ever for players to experience the classic.

The delisting isn’t anything new, as seen with Octopath Traveler 2 and Triangle Strategy. It was apparently to transfer publishing licenses from Nintendo to Square Enix, with the latter now listed as the publisher for Dragon Quest 11 S on the eShop.

On top of all the content from the base game, the Definitive Edition features new character scenarios, an optional 2D mode akin to the retro style of older titles, and Japanese voice-acting. You can also select an orchestral version of the soundtrack, customize characters with new outfits, and even challenge new bosses.

The development team is currently busy developing Dragon Quest 12: The Flames of Fate while Artdink works on Dragon Quest 1 and 2 HD-2D Remake, the latter out sometime this year.
