Dragon Quest 8

Level-5’s Dragon Quest 8: Journey of the Cursed King will be releasing on January 20th 2017 for North America and Europe according to Nintendo.

The 3DS adaptation of the PS2 RPG will introduce more story elements with The Hero. Other new features will include Quick Save and “Speed Up” for racing through encounters faster. It’s also possible to take photos when not in battle or during cutscenes to add stickers, filters and whatnot which can also be shared through StreetPass.

Cameron’s Codex will also allow you to take pictures of various monsters and situations (obtainable after meeting Cameron Obscura in Port Prospect). Receiving various thumbs up on your images can actually net you new items as well.

Other than that, players can look forward full voice acting, more side missions and dungeons and two new playable heroes. What are your thoughts on Dragon Quest 8 for the 3DS? Let us know in the comments below.
