Dragon Quest Builders 2 might not have been the next big mainline entry in the RPG franchise, but its building-centric shenanigans have clearly appealed greatly to a large number of people. Just as the first game was received very well by critics and audiences alike- but even more so, on account of how it improves upon its predecessor’s solid foundation in almost every way imagineable.

And to highlight that strong critical reception, Square Enix have put out a new accolades trailer for the game, talking about some of the praise the game has gotten from reviews from the media- all of which is narrated in excellent gleefully charming fashion by a narrator who’s clearly enjoying life. Take a look below.

In our review of Dragon Quest Builders 2, we called it “a much leaner, more organic, and more enjoyable Builders experience” that “feels like a proper realization of the experiment that the first game was.” You can read our full review through here. Dragon Quest Builders 2’s critical reception has been mirrored in its sales as well. Recently, it was announced that the game has sold over 1.1 million units worldwide.
