Dragon’s Dogma 2 launched with some technical and monetization-related issues, but the open world action RPG has enjoyed widespread critical and commercial success in the immediate aftermath of its release nonetheless. Capcom has, meanwhile, also been working on ironing out its technical issues, having released a patch a couple of weeks ago that added a 30 FPS cap option, toggles for ray tracing and motion blur, and more.

Now, another patch has been released for the open world action RPG, though it’s decidedly smaller scale than the previous one. As per patch notes shared by Capcom, Dragon’s Dogma 2’s updated fixes progression blockers in “some” quests, while also addressing pathfinding issues, where AI characters would sometimes get stuck in certain environments and terrain types. “Miscellaneous” bugs have also been fixed, and that’s pretty much it. Check out the full patch notes below.

Though Dragon’s Dogma 2 is not even a month old yet, there’s already been talk of DLC- or something close to it, if nothing else. Shortly after the game’s launch, Capcom sent out surveys, in which a couple of questions asked about interest in potential expansions for the action RPG.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 has enjoyed impressive commercial success since its release. Not only did it attract sizeable numbers of players on Steam upon launch, it is also the UK’s best-selling game launch of the year, and sold over 2.5 million units worldwide in its first 10 days.

In our review of Dragon’s Dogma 2, we awarded it a score of 10/10, saying, “Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a landmark release for open world action RPGs. From its thoroughly immersive world and its stellar combat to the incredible emergent gameplay its bevy of systems enable, Capcom’s long-anticipated sequel delivers spectacularly in more ways than one. By definition, it’s going to turn some people off with its many eccentricities, but it’s those eccentricities exactly that make it such an utterly unique and unforgettable experience.” Read the full review through here.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

PATCH NOTES:

  • Fixed issues that prevented progression in some quests.
  • Fixed some terrain that caused characters to get stuck.
  • Miscellaneous bug fixes.
