Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen Launches on PS4 and Xbox One in Fall 2017

Rejoice!

Fans of Dragon’s Dogma, rejoice- Capcom has confirmed that Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, the update and definitive release of Capcom’s acclaimed and cult hit open world action RPG from the previous generation, will be releasing on the Xbox One and PS4 later this year. That means everyone who missed out on playing the game the last time around now has a chance to check out just what the hype was about.

The re-release will celebrate the fifth anniversary of the series. The original game, as well as Dark Arisen, launched on the Xbox 360 and PS3. Dark Arisen originally came to PC last year (although not in Japan- it will be launching in Japan this Fall alongside the new console versions). This is the first appearance of the series on current generation systems.

Hopefully this hints at a future for the franchise beyond just re-releases and Japan only MMOs. Dragon’s Dogma 2, Capcom, come on.
