Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen’s Switch Version Gets First Footage

As is usually the case with Capcom, it looks like a really great port.

Capcom announced a Switch port of their popular open world action RPG Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen recently. This actually marks the first time the IP, and indeed, a game by Hideaki Itsuno, the custodian of the Devil May Cry franchise, has shown up on a Nintendo platform. As such, for many, this is an adequately big deal.

Now, we have some footage of the game running on the Switch for the very first time, thanks to Nintendo Everything. Disappointingly enough, this is mostly in docked mode, so we don’t get to see how well it holds up in handheld mode. Nonetheless, in docked mode, this appears to be yet another excellent Capcom port (Capcom’s ports to the Switch have been unerringly excellent and technically proficient at leveraging the hardware), which should probably be enough incentive for many to consider picking it up.

You can check out the footage for yourself below. Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen launches on Switch on April 23. It is also out now on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
