Drakengard 3 Brings Blood and Fire in New Advertisement Movie

Also dragons.

Square Enix’s Drakengard 3 isn’t your typical action RPG, especially when compared to the likes of Panzer Dragoon. A new “advertisement movie” released by the publisher reaffirms that, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t full of tons of kick-ass action along with ample amounts of dragoons, dragons and sword-wielding. Check it out above.

The game features both hack and slash gameplay from the third person along with aerial sequences in which you’ll be riding your dragon and bashing foes. It centers around Zero, an exiled Intoner who is now looking to wage war on her sisters in a prequel to the first game. She’ll have her trust dragon Mikhail around as back-up, which can be identified as the white dragon above.

Drakengard 3 will be releasing on December 19th for the PlayStation 3 in Japan. It is expected to release in Europe and North America sometime in 2014. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
